Overseas doctors are those who, regardless of where they obtained their primary medical qualification, are not nationals of the European Economic Area (EEA). They commonly do not have a right of indefinite residence in the UK or benefit from European Community rights.

All doctors who wish to undertake a GP Registrar training post must be fully registered with the GMC at the time of application.

The Government have altered the eligibility of Non-EU doctors working in the UK. Further information regarding overseas doctors is available from;
