Training documents This folder contains many of the forms and documents that relate to training such as the GPR Contract, VTR forms, Educational contract and so on.

  • Associate Trainer:  A new grade that would be a form of 'provisional accreditation' as a GP Trainer. The purpose of this grade would be to provide a phased introduction to training for selected prospective trainers that would allow them to take on some of the responsibilities of training prior to becoming fully accredited. Added to site March 2005

  • Study leave: This booklet provides guidance in accordance with current advice and information from the Department of Health, Whitely Council Rules, and the Conference of Postgraduate Medical Deans (CoPMeD) who have set out the processes to be used when considering applications for study and professional leave..

    GPStRs can claim for the following: -

    - Upto £55 overnight accommodation

    - Mileage to and from the course

    - £5 lunch allowance (if not provided) and £15.00 evening meal allowance (if nothing has been provided)

    - Fees for attending the course. Exam fees are not reimbursed but trainees can claim for preparation courses.

  • Absence thru sickness. The current regulations as to how much time off sick you are allowed before extra training is required

  • working hours commitment. a working week is now defined as 10 session posts plus the out of hours component.  This applies from August 2005.  This is a copy of the regulations.

  • Absence: how long are GPRS allowed to be off per year.(this is also reproduced in the absence thru sickness section)
