September 2008:  Builder E. Bowman & Sons Ltd of Cherryholt Road in Stamford today presented a cheque for £2,000 to the East Midlands Immediate Care Scheme (EMICS) in recognition of the vital role played by volunteer doctors from EMICS in supporting the emergency services at the scene of serious accidents and other medical emergencies in the region.

The money was donated by the 70 golfers attending the annual Bowman Golf Day played at Greetham Valley Golf Club last month.  The Bowman golf event is in its 15th year and includes 27 holes of golf and a formal dinner.  Bowman hosts and fully sponsors the event for suppliers, customers and friends.  Raising money for charity has become an integral part of the day with Bowman guests bidding for donated auction items and playing ‘heads and tails’ before the presentation of prizes for the day’s best golfer and the winning team.
